(TargetLiberty.org) – Yet again, President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have hit a new low. The latest polling data shows barely over a third of Americans now think he’s doing a good job.
A year ago, President Biden was a relatively popular president. Despite a narrow victory in the 2020 presidential election, 47% approved of his performance against the 45% who didn’t. Now the polls have shifted dramatically. In a Civiqs poll released on February 13, just 34% approved, while 56% disapproved.

The headline numbers are bad for Biden, but looking at responses in more detail won’t bring him any comfort either. In 46 states, his approval is in negative territory. In the other four – Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts and Vermont – more voters still approve than don’t, but even so, his approval is still under 50% in all of them. Broken down by age group, 18- to 34-year-olds are the most anti-Biden, with no age group being pro-Biden. No education level is pro-Biden either; even those with postgraduate degrees tilt against him, with only a 12% approval rating.
With polling this bad, the Democrats are almost certain to get a hammering in November’s midterms. Can he turn things around before then? It doesn’t seem likely. Moderate Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) is refusing to let Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar spending plans through the Senate – and, with just 16% of West Virginians approving of the president, it’s the most anti-Biden state in the country.
