(TargetLiberty.org) – A Michigan prosecutor says he’s investigating the state’s controversial governor over COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes and care facilities. The move follows calls for a probe by GOP state legislators.
Democrat Gretchen Whitmer is engaged in a Cuomo-style cover up of her own.
She spent hours on TV using COVID to audition for VP, but now she is refusing to release data about how her nursing home orders led to unnecessary deaths. (1/2)

Peter Lucido, the Macomb County prosecutor, said on Monday that Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) could potentially face criminal charges if his investigation finds evidence of wilful neglect or reckless endangerment. Lucido called on the families of victims to contact him with details, citing laws that prevent him from accessing patient information himself.
Whitmer’s office hit back against Lucido’s statement, calling the investigation “politically motivated” and insisting the state had followed CDC guidelines on nursing homes. However, New York governor Andrew Cuomo (D) also vehemently denied negligence over deaths in nursing homes – and now he’s facing calls for impeachment.
Michigan Republicans have been fiercely critical of Whitmer’s COVID policies right from the start; if it turns out she made the same mistakes as Cuomo, calls for impeachment might not be far behind.
