(TargetLiberty.org) – The Biden administration’s domestic agenda has stalled, its foreign policy is a disaster and its popularity is collapsing fast. Less than a year into Biden’s term in office, the speculation about his replacement has already begun.
The White House insists Biden plans to run for re-election in 2024, but as he’ll be 82 by then and is already visibly failing; a second term seems increasingly unlikely. A new poll asked registered voters who should get the Democratic nomination if Biden bows to the inevitable, and there’s a surprise contender.

The leader, particularly among those who backed Biden last time, is Vice President Kamala Harris, who’s supported by 13% of respondents. However, in second place with 10% is former First Lady Michelle Obama – and, significantly, that puts her within the poll’s 3.2% margin of error against Harris.
None of the other candidates – including Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) or Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg – attracted more than 5% support, leaving Harris and Obama as the only serious contenders. With Harris’ personal popularity even lower than Biden’s, leaving her essentially unelectable, that’s bad news for the Democrats. Is this poll the first hint of the Obamas launching a new political dynasty?
