(TargetLiberty.org) Megyn Kelly criticized the First Lady of the United States on Sunday, saying that people should no longer be referring to her as “Dr. Jill Biden.”

While watching the NFL playoffs, Kelly, a TV journalist, took to Twitter to write that Biden should stop being addressed with a “fake title.” This tweet was liked and retweeted by thousands of people, but there were some who called Kelly out on being “jealous and petty.”

As many have pointed out, despite Biden being the President of the United States, Jill Biden earned her doctorate in the ‘00s and has for years worked as an educator for.

Kelly’s tweet was prompted by the first Lady’s attendance at a game at the Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game, and Jill Biden could be seen at a box watching the game. The announcers pointed Jill Biden out and called her Dr. Jill Biden, which is what triggered Kelly to recount the incident on Twitter. She then continued by saying that the first lady is a “wannabe” that uses a “fake title” and that either she needed to “get a real MD or just work on your self-esteem.”

Biden has two master’s degrees from Villanova University and West Chester University, and a doctorate in education from the University of Delaware which she earned in January 2007. Biden also continued to teach English and writing at Northern Virginia Community College.

Dr. Allison Gill, in reply to Kelly’s tweet, said, “PhDs existed before MDs,” and then pointed out that Kelly sounded jealous.
