( – Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has urged former President Donald Trump to return to Twitter so that he can post more “mean tweets” like the ones he had posted on the social media platform during his administration.

On Saturday during an event at the Putnam County Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner in Ohio, Greene reaffirmed that she was fully endorsing Trump in his 2024 presidential bid, and added that she would “give anything” to see Trump return to Twitter.

In the past, Trump had frequently used the social media platform as a way of criticizing and slamming his political rivals, critics, and even other heads of state. While Trump’s Twitter account, which was banned following the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection, was restored in November 2022, the Republican candidate has refused to return to the social media network and is instead continuing to use his own social media platform, Truth Social, which was created by the Trump Media & Technology Group.

While speaking to the crowd, Greene said that Trump’s “mean tweets” were also accompanied by border security, better law enforcement, lower crime rates, and a better economy. She proceeded to praise Trump’s “America First” policies and stated that the United States should not be sending funds to support the war efforts in Ukraine when there are many domestic issues that need to be handled.

She added that what was important was for the country to be put first, even if that means to have a “few mean tweets.” She concluded by praising Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, for reinstating Trump’s account.
