(TargetLiberty.org) – MSNBC and CNN guests appeared to be worried about a recently released poll which found that former President Donald Trump and President Biden had both received 46 percent in a hypothetical rematch, showing how competitive the 2024 presidential race is bound to be.
CNN’s Jim Acost while discussing with the University of Virginia Director of the Center for Politics Larry Sabato pointed out that while they should not “pass over” the results of the poll from the Wall Street Journal it is worth noting that one of the two men was the current U.S. president, while the other one is the former U.S. president that is currently facing four indictments. Still, the two men are completely tied as Acosta pointed out.
In response, Sabato argued that there was a lot of work that Biden would need to do. He further stated that the poll was affected by multiple factors including the way that voters felt about the country’s economy and the age of the President.
As he pointed out this was something very important that the Democrats should consider, and they should not view the presidential race as a “cakewalk.” He added that there were many things that could end up happening and that in order for Biden to be able to win he would need to be three or four percentage points above Trump or any other GOP nominee in order to ensure that he would be the one to win the Electoral College. As he said this was not going to be an easy task.
