(TargetLiberty.org) – When a few Republicans decided to turn on President Trump back in January, they didn’t seem to realize how dangerous that could be for their political careers. Now one RINO senator is finding out the hard way.
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) has held her seat since 2002, but Alaska Republicans have run out of patience with her ultra-liberal voting record. Murkowski’s vote to impeach President Trump in January was the last straw; now a GOP challenger wants her seat, and Murkowski is lagging badly in the race.

A poll released on April 5 shows that just 18.8% of Alaskans back Murkowski to keep her seat in the 2022 election, while 33.6% support Republican rival Kelly Tshibaka. Alaska is a solid red state and the Democrat candidate, Al Gross, doesn’t even match Murkowski’s support – but Tshibaka is the clear favorite. Alaskans were already troubled by Murkowski’s backing for Obamacare and illegal immigration. Her betrayal of President Trump tipped the balance. It’s now clear she’s outstayed her welcome.
