(TargetLiberty.org) – Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is one of many people who doesn’t like the direction the US is traveling in right now, but he’s keeping a positive attitude. Over the weekend he told unhappy Americans what to do about it – vote.
Talking to Sunday Night in America, Graham said if you’re not satisfied with where we’re going as a nation, you need to get out and vote in next year’s midterm elections. Telling the audience that in a democracy we’re all players, he said “if you think the country is going the wrong way, make sure you vote in 2022.”
It’s fair to say Graham has some issues with the current administration. One he discussed was the continued spending on enhanced unemployment benefits – he said we’ve learned that if you pay workers $23 an hour not to work, “they’ll take you up on it.” Biden plans to keep handing out an extra $300 a week in unemployment until September, but thanks to the vaccine, the pandemic should be well under control before then.
That’s just one of the things he thinks Biden is getting wrong. Graham got to the heart of the matter with his advice, though. If you don’t like what the government’s doing, you have the power to change it.
