(TargetLiberty.org) – Outside of a Washington, D.C. jail, a person blowing a whistle caused disruption while Republicans were giving their remarks. Republicans visited the jail where many of the rioters who have been arrested since the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021, are being held on Friday.
Republicans were giving the remarks outside the jail following the bipartisan trip to look into the conditions in the jail. The Whistling was not the only disruption during the incident, as an organization that has questioned whether the investigations against President Biden are politically motivated were protesting against the GOP lawmakers.
Hannah Muldavin, who served as the spokesperson for the House select committee tasked with investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection, tweeted out that the Congressional Integrity Project was linked to the protest against Republicans, especially those who supported President Trump’s false claims about the 2020 presidential election being stolen. As Muldavin claimed the organization played a video depicting the “awful violence” of the attack.
The project also tweeted out that the “mobile billboard” depicting the violence of the event had been showing in the area during the jail visit.
As they wrote: “Our mobile billboard is circling outside of the DC jail playing footage released by the January 6th Committee” while at the same time, the Republicans are leading a group of Trump’s allies in the House to a visit in order to defend the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on January 6th.
