(TargetLiberty.org) – Liberal media personality Keith Olbermann has come up with a new approach to law, order and freedom of speech. He wants people arrested who publicly question the official narrative on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Worse, he’s fine if the military does it – without legal process.
.@KeithOlbermann suggested on Monday that Tucker Carlson and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard are guilty of being Russian "assets" and should both be arrested and tried by the military. https://t.co/XHfdCHICxy

On March 14, panelists on ABC’s “The View” suggested conservative commentator Tucker Carlson and former Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard should be investigated over alleged pro-Russian comments. When social media users questioned this, Olbermann jumped in with a tweet calling the two “Russian assets” and argued “There’s a case for detaining them militarily.” Olbermann claimed our legal process is “a sign of good faith and patience” – and argued because there’s a war on (even though the US isn’t fighting it) it can be ignored.
What have Carlson and Gabbard actually done to attract all this hostility? Carlson opposes US involvement in the war. US isolationism from European wars isn’t exactly a radical position to hold – in fact, it was official US policy from 1914 to 1917, and again from 1939 to 1941. Gabbard has questioned US connections to biological research labs in Ukraine, and while experts say there’s no evidence these labs are linked to biological warfare, it’s still a stretch to say Gabbard is a Russian combatant. Do we really want to live in a country where our rights can be so easily removed?
