(TargetLiberty.org) – It looks like LA’s Liberal-run Department of Public Health is scared of tiny, candy-seeking ghosts and monsters – because it’s just canceled Halloween. A press release issued on Wednesday lays down a raft of new restrictions that pretty much abolish the popular holiday in the name of fighting COVID-19.
According to the department, “…some of the traditional ways in which this holiday is celebrated does [sic] not allow you to minimize contact with non-household members…” Their response is to ban parties, carnivals, live entertainment and haunted house attractions, even if they’re outdoors. Trick or treating is “not recommended,” nor is the politically correct “trunk or treat” version.
No trick-or-treating, no parties, no carnivals and no festivals. In light of the ongoing pandemic, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has issued new guidelines for Halloween https://t.co/s0ofnCwsYT

LA’s fun police haven’t banned every Halloween event, though. Residents are still allowed to decorate their homes and yards, or hold drive-by fancy dress contests with physically distanced judges. If that isn’t enough excitement for you, drive-through gift bag handouts are allowed (commercially packaged non-perishable treats only, please) and online pumpkin carving is also permitted. What more could kids want?
