Kinzinger Says No One Will Support Trump Within 10 Years Time

“Never-Trumper” Kinzinger Makes a Prediction That Has EVERYONE Talking

( – A renegade Republican has claimed that, 10 years from now, nobody will support former president Donald Trump. Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) made the controversial comment on Sunday. It’s the latest in a string of attacks by the congressman.

On July 10, Kinzinger talked to ABC’s “This Week,” and called Trump “in essence a cult leader.” He argued because Americans now get their news from politically polarized outlets, anything Trump says will be reinforced by supportive news organizations.

Kinzinger has been a long-time critic of the former president. Although he voted in line with Trump 90% of the time, and opposed the first attempt to impeach him, he later switched sides. When the Democrats launched their second impeachment attempt in January 2021, Kinzinger was one of ten GOP representatives who voted in favor. He’s one of two Republicans, along with Liz Cheney (R-WY), who sits on the Democrat-led committee investigating the Capitol riot.

Now Kinzinger says in 10 years, “there’s not going to have been a single Trump supporter that exists anywhere in the country.” Comparing Trump to Richard Nixon he said as soon as Nixon was out of office, everyone denied having supported him — and predicted the same would happen to Trump.

However, Trump has now been out of office for 18 months already and is still the clear leader of the Republican movement. He’s very likely to make another White House run in 2024, and if President Biden insists on running again, the former president may very well win. Kinzinger’s prediction might not hold up too well against reality.
