Kid Rock Kicks Concert Off With Unexpected Visit From Trump

(TargetLiberty.org) – Former president Donald Trump has been a lot more visible than most former presidents, and now he’s boosted his profile even more. At the most recent Kid Rock concert, he sent a surprise video message to the audience – and the crowd loved it.

On April 8, singer Kid Rock launched his latest tour with a concert in Evansville, IN – but Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, didn’t open the gig himself. Instead, it began with an unexpected video message from the former president.

Trump started off by praising Rock’s talent, then went on to tell the crowd they’re “the true backbone of our great country”; “hard-working, God-fearing, rock-and-roll patriots.”

Rock has been a consistent Trump supporter for years, and his music often includes conservative political themes. He’s also opposed vaccine mandates, and in January, announced he would refuse to play at any venue that required proof of vaccination. His new song, “We the people,” slams President Biden and White House Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci – and Rock picked that song to open the concert after Trump’s speech.

The former president ended his video by urging the crowd to fight for freedom and “most of all, let’s make America rock again.” The crowd erupted with cheers and applause, then rocked the night away. Trump’s message is clearly still getting through to his base.
