(TargetLiberty.org) – Last week, the Los Angeles Times revealed that White House lawyers have had to speak to one of Kamala Harris’s relatives about cashing in on her new job.
Harris’ niece Meena has never been shy about advertising her relationship with the vice president. Days before Harris was sworn in, Meena appeared on the Today show to talk about her aunt – and plug her own clothing brand and new book. Since then she’s stepped up her efforts to make money from the connection; her Phenomenal Women brand is selling sweaters with the classy slogan “Vice President Aunty” printed across the front.
White House has instructed Meena Harris not to use her aunt Kamala Harris' name to build brand on social media, as per US Media reports. White House has asked her to change her behaviour and that her conduct goes against the ethics. pic.twitter.com/EmeJlhAVGy

Now presidential ethics lawyers are stepping up to tell Meena to stop using her aunt’s name to sell her products. She’s been officially warned that she can sell her remaining inventory of Kamala-branded goods, but she’s not to restock them. According to the Los Angeles Times, a White House official said that while what’s done is done, “Behavior needs to change.”
