(TargetLiberty.org) – Iran has become increasingly more hostile in the last several months. In September, its leaders threatened then-President Donald Trump. Since then, the country has lashed out in other ways. Although President Joe Biden has said he would like to work with the adversarial nation, he’s also sending them a clear message by conducting military operations in the Persian Gulf region.
On March 7, the Israeli Air Force escorted two US B-52 bombers through its airspace. It was the seventh time the American military has sent planes to fly over the Gulf since Biden’s inauguration. The mission is being described as sending a message to Iran that the US is going to continue to protect itself and its allies.

The Biden administration is also reportedly trying to convince Iran to come back to the negotiating table. The president wants to reenter the nuclear agreement, but Iranian leaders have not been as eager to get talks started. In February, the country rejected talks with the Biden team. Where the countries go from here is unclear, but it seems the US-Israeli military operation will continue.
