(TargetLiberty.org) – On Saturday, First Lady Jill Biden sent out a campaign email defending President Biden against the report by Special Counsel Robert Hur where it was argued that the President had forgotten the year his son, Beau, had died.

In the email, Jill Biden slammed Hur claiming that the Department of Justice official had only made reference to certain details in his report to score “political points” and that a parent’s grief of losing a son was not measured “in years.” She continued by arguing that everyone should be given “grace” and that she could not imagine that their son’s death was going to be used “to score political points.”

She proceeded to claim that anyone who has experienced such loss knows that it is not measured in years, but rather in grief, and that the son of Beau was never going to live with Joe Biden.

Beau Biden passed away in 2015 from a brain tumor. Biden has repeatedly claimed that his death is the reason why he did not try to win the White House the following year.

About his death, Jill Biden argued that May 30th was a date “etched” in their family’s hearts as it had shattered them. However, as she argued, what has allowed them to keep going was finding purpose and serving the country.

In the report, Hur claimed that Biden’s memory was “hazy” and referenced how the President had been unable to recall the time of his son’s death. He further argued that Biden had come across during the interviews as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” who had forgotten key details during the questioning.
