(TargetLiberty.org) – Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie has received funding from Lee and Murray Kushner, who are related to Jared Kushner, as they are his aunt and uncle.
Jared Kushner is famously married to Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump, and had previously served in his father-in-law’s administration. Both members of the Kushner couple have maxed out the possible contributions they could make to Christie’s campaign according to the Federal Election Commission filings.
Jared Kushner has had a feud with Christie for years, as the former U.S. attorney had gone after Charles over tax evasion and fraud allegations, and had managed to put him in prison for a total of 14 months.
The case against Charles also included a revenge plot, as he had allegedly hired a prostitute that was tasked with seducing his sister Esther Schulder’s husband because he had been cooperating with the federal investigation against him.
Charles Kushner claimed that his sister had received the video from him in vengeance and proceeded to then apologize for his actions. In 2004 he pleaded guilty to the 18 tax evasion and fraud counts that he was facing because of this investigation.
Murray Kushner is assumed to have a bad relationship with Charles which is part of the reason why they had each donated $3,300 to support Christie’s presidential campaign. They had also been contributors to Christie’s presidential campaign in 2016.
Christie had previously claimed in 2019 that the prosecution of Charles had been one of the most “disgusting” and “loathsome” crimes that he had prosecuted during his time serving as U.S. attorney.
