(TargetLiberty.org) – Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, is founding a new organization to promote peace in the Middle East. As a senior adviser to the last administration, Kushner helped negotiate historic deals between Israel and four Arab nations. Now, he plans to continue that work.

On May 5, Kushner announced the launch of the Abraham Accords Institute, a non-partisan effort named after the ground-breaking deals he negotiated between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. The goal of the new organization is to build on the peace treaty by deepening trade and tourism links, and promoting connections among the five countries.
The Institute will be privately funded and, initially, is established with a five-year mandate. Along with Kushner, founding members include former White House staffer Avi Berkowitz, the Israeli foreign minister, and the Washington ambassadors of the UAE and Bahrain.
