Illegal Immigrant “Gotaways” Reach STAGGERING New Records
(TargetLiberty.org) – Illegal immigration has been a serious issue for years. The number of migrants trying to cross the border each day has soared since President Joe Biden took office and immediately did away with many of his predecessor’s policies. One of the more pressing concerns, in addition to these figures, are those who enter the country — as captured on camera or by Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents — but never undergo processing. These migrants are known as “gotaways.”
According to Fox News, multiple sources within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed the number of “gotaways” for fiscal year 2022 (FY’22) exceeded half a million. This breaks down to an average of 55,000 per month, marking an exorbitant number with only three months left to go in the fiscal year.
Backing this up— My DHS sources also confirm more than 500,000 gotaways since October.
A “gotaway” is someone seen on a camera or in a bailout/pursuit and never apprehended. https://t.co/uooxiiizpZ

Despite the significant numbers — there were 389,155 in all of FY’21 — the Biden administration continues to insist the border is secure. CBP agents disagree and have pushed back against Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ statements to this effect, saying it’s anything but.
While the Biden administration continues to deny a problem exists, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) is increasing funding to finish the wall in his state. The Operation Lone Star initiative is also helping increase patrols to keep southern communities safe in heavily-crossed areas.
Do you think other border states should take similar steps?
