(TargetLiberty.org) On Wednesday Night, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., took to Twitter to post a recording of a threatening message that she had allegedly received. She also proceeded to say that it was because of the Republicans that she was receiving all of the hate.
Omar’s tweet with the threatening message was put out less than 24 hours before the House of Representatives was set to vote on whether or not she would be allowed to retain her position on the House Foreign Affairs committee. Speaker Kevin McCarthy has long since promised and is pushing for her removal.
The recording is full of profanities and threats as it starts off by saying “You f—— c—-, I’ll put a bullet in your f——- head, and get the f— out of my country.” It proceeds with the voice in the recording stating, “I’ll f—— kill you!”
Omar has claimed on Twitter that this is only one of many threats that her office had to sort through in the past week. She also added that because of the stance that House Republicans are following it feels like she has a target on her back all the more now.
She then noted that while they can continue to threaten and target her, she would never stop trying to make the world more inclusive.
Omar was being kept off the committee because of certain comments she had previously made some of which could be perceived as anti-semitic, and racist. She concludes by writing that the whole message was disturbing to have to listen to.
