(TargetLiberty.org) – Hunter Biden has been in the news a lot over the last few years for his allegedly shady business dealings. He’s currently under investigation by the DOJ for potential tax crimes. But that isn’t what’s causing outrage now. This time, people are upset about his plans to sell artwork.
In early July, reports revealed the White House was working on an ethics plan to shield art buyers from Hunter so he wouldn’t know their identities. Now, it seems that plan has gone right out the window. On July 22, Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended the younger Biden after reports revealed he’d be meeting with potential buyers.
Psaki claimed the actual buyers were going to remain anonymous. She said he isn’t going to have “any conversations related to the selling of art.” The press secretary claimed she believes this allows him to “work within his profession within appropriate safeguards.” The paintings are expected to sell for as much as $500,000 each.
The WH previously said it cleared HUNTER BIDEN to sell his art under an arrangement that prevented him from knowing the buyers' identities at the time of the sales.
But the gallery now says Hunter will meet with potential buyers at exhibitions in LA & NY. https://t.co/Yi4NNH43qI

Former President Barack Obama’s ex-ethics chief, Walter Shaub, slammed the scheme, saying it looks like Hunter is “profiting off the presidency.”

The White House doesn’t seem concerned, though. Psaki claimed she believes the proper safeguards are in place to prevent influence on President Joe Biden.
