(TargetLiberty.org) – Jeffrey Katzenberg, the former CEO of Disney and DreamWorks Animation, and his wife have donated over $1.7 million to the Biden Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee supported by President Biden’s campaign.

On April 25, it was announced by the Biden campaign that Katzenberg would be joining him as one of the national co-chairs. Two days later, Katzenberg’s wife donated $889,600 to the committee. The donation was reported by the Federal Election Commission records. A day later, Katzenberg himself made a donation of the same amount.

These are not the only donations the pair has made in support of Biden. They are both maxed-out donors for the President’s reelection campaign as they have donated $6,600 each.

A Fox News Digital report previously released information about the ties that Katzenberg has to the communist government in China. This could potentially be a problem for President Biden because of China’s human rights abuses and the threats to U.S. national security.

During his time running DreamWorks Animation, Katzenberg would reportedly make monthly visits to China. In 2014 he specifically stated that he had visited China every month over the past two and a half years. He also pointed out that there was a lot of opportunity in the country, and that they were going to be creating an animation studio in Shanghai called “Dream Center.” This multibillion-dollar deal with China was announced in 2012.

This studio would make it possible for a higher number of U.S. films to be released in the Chinese market every year.
