(TargetLiberty.org) – Last week, during the presidential debate, Joe Biden refused to say if he planned to pack the Supreme Court if he’s elected – and, last night, October 7, his running mate did exactly the same. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) was asked a simple yes or no question by Vice President Pence, and she dodged it.
Pence put in a strong performance in last night’s debate, but the heaviest blow he landed was on Democrat threats to add more justices to the Supreme Court. His question couldn’t have been more direct – he asked Harris, “Are you and Joe Biden going to pack the court if Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed?” Harris simply ignored the question. Pence asked again and, again, didn’t get an answer. Harris tried to deflect by saying the American people should decide who will serve on the Supreme Court, then veered off into talking about the Court of Appeals, but wouldn’t answer the actual question.

With both Biden and his VP pick now refusing to say what they want to do, it’s clear there’s a real risk a Biden victory would give us a Supreme Court that always sides with the administration. Expect the question to come up again and again until Biden or Harris finally answers it.
