(TargetLiberty.org) – There’s already been a lot of talk about Chris Wallace’s performance as moderator during Tuesday’s fiery Trump-Biden debate. The president’s combative, rapid-fire style didn’t just overwhelm his hapless opponent; it left Wallace trailing in the dust, too. So how should the next debate be moderated? Fox News host Sean Hannity has an interesting suggestion: Don’t bother.

On his show Tuesday night, Hannity praised the debate for being “real,” saying he liked the “new style of debate.” Comparing Trump to a gladiator, he said future meetings don’t need a moderator. Suggesting that organizers just “let them have at it,” he said the American people can decide how they went.
Not everyone agrees with Hannity’s idea. Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer was a guest on the show and he protested that we’re not electing gladiators. Hannity stood firm, however, saying he found it “refreshing” and predicting the American people would approve.
