(TargetLiberty.org) – On Monday, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley claimed that she was the only way to stop a “Trump-Biden nightmare” in the upcoming November general election, despite the fact that in the Iowa caucuses she had finished third.

In a speech after the caucuses, Haley argued that her campaign was the “last, best hope” of blocking a possible Trump-Biden election. However, as she pointed out it was not just about that, but also about the fact that the GOP had lost the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections. As she said this was not something that they should be “proud of.”

Haley proceeded to say that she wanted the Republican party to have the support of the majority of Americans.

The Decision Desk HQ in a recent projection, found that Haley had come third in Iowa, with Florida Governor Ron DeSanits only having 2 percentage points more than her. However, while Haley earned 19.1 percent, and DeSantis earned 21.2 percent, former President Donald Trump won the caucus by 51 percent.

The presidential race in New Hampshire would then head to New Hampshire, where Haley appears to be in second place, behind Trump by only 11.1 points according to the polling average of Decision Desk HQ/The Hill. Haley has also received New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu’s (R) endorsement.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter following the caucus, Haley thanked Iowa arguing that the people in the state were “patriotic” and “faithful” and that she was grateful for their participation. She added that New Hampshire was the best place to stop a possible rematch between Trump and Biden from occurring and give Americans a better option in the next election.
