(TargetLiberty.org) – Rudy Giuliani, personal attorney to President Donald Trump, is showing an interest in being on the President’s legal defense team during the Senate’s impeachment trial.
The former New York City Mayor told reporters that he “would love to try the case” on New Year’s Eve at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
While none of Trump’s lawyers have officially been announced, White House counsel Pat Cipollone is expected to lead the team along with lawyer Jay Sekulow.
Democrats have accused Giuliani of meeting with Ukrainian officials in an attempt to get information on Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. According to the sources who spoke to CNN, President Trump is being advised against adding Giuliani to the team because they believe that he could be called as a witness.
