(TargetLiberty.org) – Former New York Police Department (NYPD) commissioner Bernard Kerik who had assisted in the Trump campaign’s probe into the unfounded claims of election fraud in 2020 is now going to be handing over documents to Georgia election workers as he is going to be filing a lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s former lawyer, for defamation.

Kerik has handed the documents over to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss’s counsel, as the two Fulton County poll workers had previously sued Giuliani over his assertions that they had been falsely claiming to have been a part of fixing the 2020 presidential election result. Kerik also handed over several documents to the special counsel investigation that is examining President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

As he claimed, Trump had previously had privilege over these documents which was how he had blocked the documents from being given to the attorneys of the election workers. However, following a request by the former NYPD commissioner, the Trump campaign withdrew its claim that it had product privilege over so many documents. However, they have retained attorney-client privileges over certain emails.

Kerik has also agreed to give another deposition prior to Aug. 25 in which he is mainly going to focus on the new documents and some of the other issues that were covered in his first deposition. Any objections relating to the documents are going to be deferred to the campaign, and he will not refuse to answer the election workers’ attorneys’ questions because of privilege.
