(TargetLiberty.org) – Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) defended China against US citizens Thursday, claiming that the Communist dictatorship is a “respectable nation.” Talking to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Feinstein argued US citizens should not be allowed to sue the Chinese regime for damages over the bungling and secrecy that unleashed the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Feinstein, China is “a country that has pulled tens of millions of people out of poverty…” and should be seen as a potential trading partner. In fact, China is already a major trading partner – but countries all over the world are urgently looking at ways to reduce their reliance on Chinese imports.
Meanwhile, a recent survey says 73% of American adults have a negative view of China, the highest number in 15 years, and the Beijing regime is committing massive human rights abuses against its Uyghur minority.

Missouri AG Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit against China back in April, which provoked anger from the Communists. Feinstein says if Americans are allowed to sue China, other nations – including China – could use that as a precedent to sue the US. What she seems to have missed is that the US hasn’t unleashed a devastating epidemic on the world.
