On April 28, federal agents with search warrants raided Giuliani’s Manhattan home and office, seizing electronic devices. This follows a months-long campaign by the New York US Attorney’s office to grab his phone. The Department of Justice had consistently refused to allow this seizure, but with the appointment of a failed-Obama Supreme Court nominee as Biden’s Attorney General, this opposition has evaporated.
Additionally, the New York Times says the FBI raided one of Giuliani’s associates on Wednesday — attorney Victoria Toensing who has also worked with Ukrainians. Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello called the raids “legal thuggery,” saying his client has cooperated with prosecutors. The willingness to raid Giuliani and his associates is a jarring contrast with the slack that’s been cut for Hunter Biden, who also has alleged links to Ukraine.
