FBI Accused of “Abuse” After Arresting Christians
(TargetLiberty.org) – The FBI has come under some serious fire lately for the way it’s handled several issues. Most recently, Republicans have called into question the way the bureau is purportedly attacking pro-life activists. They’re demanding transparency and seeking data pertaining to the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE).
On Wednesday, October 12, Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) penned a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray raising concerns that the bureau has “amassed too much power” and become a “partisan cudgel.” Roy points out that there have been a number of pro-life activists arrested or indicted under the FACE Act, even when the protests were peaceful and local authorities dismissed charges. The representative contends this is an abuse of the act and does not constitute “federal law enforcement matters.”
The Biden Administration is weaponizing federal law to TARGET Americans because of their beliefs.

Roy continues by saying the actions of the FBI do nothing to reassure the public and, in fact, undermine Americans’ trust in the bureau. The letter, signed by 36 others, ends with several requests for information, including
- The number of FACE investigations the FBI opened in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
- How many of the aforementioned cases involve churches/houses of worship, pregnancy centers, and abortion facilities?
- The number of investigations involving people who have faced prior charges or sentencing at the local level.
- The criteria the agency uses to determine whether to open a case.
The representative asked the FBI to respond by October 20.
