Elon Musk Floats Ideas for Changing Twitter

(TargetLiberty.org) – Elon Musk shook up Twitter last week when it emerged he’s now the social media platform’s biggest shareholder. It looks like he plans on having some fun with his new power. He’s already making suggestions sure to outrage Twitter’s liberal fans.

On April 4, Securities and Exchange Commission documents revealed that tech entrepreneur Elon Musk had bought 9.2% of Twitter’s shares, becoming the company’s largest shareholder. Musk has regularly criticized Twitter for its woke policies and restrictions on free speech, and in March, said he was open to the idea of setting up his own social media platform to compete with the tech giant. Now it looks like, instead, he’s decided to reshape Twitter so it’s more to his taste.

The day after news of Musk’s share purchase came out, he posted a Twitter poll asking users if they want an edit button, a feature Twitter has been refusing to add for years; 73.6% said yes. Over the weekend of April 9-10, he launched another poll, asking if Twitter’s San Francisco HQ should be turned into a homeless shelter “since no one shows up anyway” (91% said yes). His new power over the company has caused panic among employees, with some “dusting off their resumes.” Of course, a shakeup at Twitter was long overdue; the company has been using its power to push an ultra-liberal agenda and silence conservative voices.

Will Musk also force this Left-leaning giant to embrace free speech?
