(TargetLiberty.org) – On Monday, Elon Musk, owner of X and a tech billionaire, argued that the ongoing wars between Russia and Ukraine, and Israel and Hamas were raising the potential for a third World War.

Musk in a post on his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, argued that it was important to restore peace in Ukraine and for the country to go back to having normal relations with Russia. He added that a possible “World War III” would be a risk to the entire civilization and that it is possible that we might not be able to “recover from” it. He then stated that it was important for people to make it a priority to avoid WWIII.

Previously Musk had proposed a possible proposal that could bring an end to the war in Ukraine which would require the country to allow Russia to take over large parts of its land. On Monday, he once again called for a ceasefire and argued that it was “helpless” for them to be at war against Russia.

Ukrainian officials have been quick to oppose Musk’s suggestion. In October 2022, Ukrainian diplomat Andriy Melnyk responded to Musk’s proposal by telling him that his diplomatic response was for Musk to “F— off.”

Following the war that erupted between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Musk has once again argued that the United States could end up being tested by a possible alliance between China, Iran, and Russia. He added that the war would be all about industrial output and that the U.S. does not have such a large industrial advantage.
