(TargetLiberty.org) – It’s now less than a month until Americans vote for our next president – but more than one in three don’t believe it’s going to be a fair election. A new poll shows that just 59% of potential voters believe votes will be counted accurately – matching the all-time low reported in 2008.
The latest Gallup survey found that while most Democrats and left-leaning independents believed votes will be accurately counted, only 44% of Republicans and pro-Republican independents do. Overall, only 19% of respondents said they were “very confident” the election will be fair, and another 40% were “somewhat confident.”

Fears have been whipped up by a series of recent suspicious incidents, including the vandalism of mailboxes, ballot papers sent to people who’ve died, and hundreds of mail-in ballot applications from Trump supporters found shredded in Indiana. President Trump has repeatedly warned of the risks of mail-in ballots, and it looks like a growing number of Americans agree with him.
