(TargetLiberty.org) – Joe Biden formally accepted the Democratic presidential nomination Thursday night, August 20. The event setting was the keynote of the four-day virtual convention – and, according to veteran political commentator Laura Ingraham, it showed that the party has learned nothing since 2016.
Ingraham said, “…they’ve nominated a guy who first ran for president 33 years ago… who epitomizes the word ‘swamp.’” Biden accepted the nomination in a speech that’s being hailed as his best ever, although that’s not a high bar. Notably, it was the shortest Dem acceptance speech in decades.
Biden is not known for brevity, but he gave the shortest acceptance speech at the DNC since 1984, and his speech was less than half as long as Hillary’s, according to C-SPAN. pic.twitter.com/WLxYFS8oLy

Meanwhile, President Trump hit back in real-time, slamming his rival within minutes of him becoming the official Dem candidate and dismissing his ambitious promises as “just words.” Trump referenced the violence that’s swept the country with the connivance of Democrat mayors and city officials. He emphasized that in Biden’s 47-year political career he has delivered none of the things he promised, and is even less likely to deliver now that he’s allied himself with the party’s extreme left.
