Despite Key Losses in Primaries, Trump Declares Total Political Victory

Trump’s Latest Statements On Primary Elections Leave Everyone Buzzing

(TargetLiberty.org) – Former President Donald Trump was in a buoyant mood Wednesday, despite the fact that some of the candidates he endorsed lost their primary races. Several anti-Trump Republicans held on to their jobs in Georgia, but MAGA candidates did have some successes there. Trump’s picks also did well in other states.

Up until the May 24 primaries, Republican candidates endorsed by Trump had achieved close to a clean sweep of elections. However, his record took a hit on Tuesday, but overall the former president still has a lot to be optimistic about. Setbacks in Georgia don’t overshadow the gains Trump-backed Republicans made elsewhere.

In Georgia, he endorsed candidates running against Governor Brian Kemp (R) and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, but both RINOs won their races with solid majorities. However, things went better for Trump’s pick for Georgia’s upcoming Senate contest; Herschel Walker won that vote easily, and will now challenge Senator Raphael Warnock (D) in November. Burt Jones, whom Trump endorsed as the state’s lieutenant governor, also declared victory on Wednesday.

In Texas, Arkansas, and Alabama, Trump’s candidates did much better. After the results were revealed, he wrote on his Truth Social messaging platform “Overall for the ‘Cycle,’ 100 wins, 6 losses (some of which were not possible to win), and 2 runoffs. Thank you, and congratulations to all!”

Critics will point at the survival of Raffensperger and Kemp as evidence of Trump’s influence waning, but with over 90% of his endorsees winning, it’s clear he’s still the driving force behind the GOP.
