(TargetLiberty.org) – In the 2024 election, 33 of the 100 U.S. Senate Seats are going to be on the ballot giving the Democrats the opportunity to attempt to unseat many major Republican Senators.

While of the available seats the majority is already held by Democrats, meaning that the party is going to heavily focus on retaining its majority and maintaining these seats, there are also certain cases where the Democrats can push for the seats held by the Republicans. Of the 33 seats that will be on the ballot three are held by independents, 10 are held by Republicans while the rest are Democratic seats.

Senate Majority political action committee (PAC) spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer revealed that three of the seats that Democratic organizations are going to be targeting are currently held by Senators Ted Cruz of Texas, Rick Scott of Florida, and Josh Hawley of Missouri.

Guggenheimer stated that these three Senators have for years placed their own political ambitions above the good of the people. However, it is important to note that the territories that these three belong to are not considered battleground states in which the Republicans have a viable chance.

Texas in particular has not had a Democrat win a Senate Race since 1988 when Lloyd Bentsen was reelected. Still, the fact that in 2018 the Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke managed to only be three points away from winning against Cruz is giving the Democrats hope that they might have a chance at winning that senate seat.

Senator Tim Kaine (D), had argued that had O’Rourke’s campaign been a bit more organized he would have managed to win that election.
