(TargetLiberty.org) – Former President Donald Trump’s campaign argued in reference to election integrity and crime that Trump had not made any disparaging comments towards the city of Milwaukee which is where the Republican Convention is set to be held.
Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to argue that the Democrats have been pushing stories about him claiming that the city is “horrible.” However, as he argued this was a complete lie, much like everything they had said about the laptop and Russia had been lies. He added that this is disinformation and it is the only thing that the Democratic party knows how to do.
Trump proceeded to argue that he had selected the city because he knew it well and because he believed it would lead to him winning Wisconsin in the upcoming election. However, the Democrats have been pushing forward a completely fake story. He then stated that the people should not be “duped” and that these comments against him never ended.
In 2020 Biden had managed to win the state of Wisconsin by only 21,000 votes. This was one of the thinnest margins in the country.
Steven Cheung, who is Donald Trump’s spokesperson, argued this week that Trump had specifically been referring to election issues and crime when he had made these comments.
Still, the Wisconsin Republican Congressional delegation of five members had also argued that Trump’s comments about Milwaukee being a horrible city had been made but only in reference to election integrity or crime.
