(TargetLiberty.org) – Just days after it emerged that the Biden administration is sidestepping ethics rules for federal appointees, a new complaint has been submitted by House Republicans. It accuses dozens of their Democrat colleagues of making false claims about GOP representatives, and it’s potentially explosive.
EXCLUSIVE: House Republicans File Ethics Complaint Against Democrats Who Made Unsubstantiated Claims That GOP Led ‘Reconnaissance’ Tours Before Capitol Riot https://t.co/DQZ8ApkiUy

On May 11, three representatives — Rodney Davis (R-IL), Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) and Bryan Steil (R-WI) sent a letter to the House Ethics Committee calling for an investigation into three alleged ethics violations. One was an incident where Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) posted a Facebook video claiming some Republican congressmen had carried out “reconnaissance” for the mob that assaulted the Capitol on January 6. The other two relate to a letter written by 33 Democrat representatives about the same allegations, which they asked Capitol police to investigate.
The Republicans point out that the Democrats have never found any evidence to support these allegations, and accuse Sherrill of “arguing for punishment for crimes that did not occur.” They want to know what happened with the claims and what’s going to be done if they turn out to be unfounded. Sadly, the answer is probably nothing. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has already joined in with blaming Republican congressmen for the riots.
