(TargetLiberty.org) – This week the Justice Department busted another dirty Democrat. On Thursday, they announced former Rep. Michael Myers (D-PA) was charged with fraudulently stuffing ballot boxes and conspiring to violate voting rights.
Myers, 77, was previously a member of Congress representing Pennsylvania’s first district. He served from 1976 to 1980 when he was expelled following a scandal.
The DOJ said he conspired with, and bribed, Domenick J. Demuro, a former Judge of Elections. Demuro pleaded guilty in federal court. He was responsible for all voter activities in his division and oversaw the election process.
He Cheated for Dems from 2014 to 2016
According to officials, Myers stuffed ballot boxes for Democratic candidates during 2014, 2015, and 2016 elections. He bribed Demuro, obstructed justice, falsified records, and voted more than once in federal elections.
Myers was able to get Demuro to illegally add votes to candidates they favored. Some ran for judicial offices and hired Myers to help. He would solicit payments from the clients in the form of “consulting fees,” then take that money and pay Demuro to tamper with the election results. These payments were anywhere from $300 to $5,000 per election.
Brian Rabbitt, the acting assistant attorney general of the DOJ’s criminal division, said Thursday that fair and free elections were the backbone of our government system. He explained there’s a zero-tolerance policy for the corruption of the voting process. And, he warned that no effort would be spared in investigating and prosecuting those who attempt to cheat.
Leo Hannon Jr. is the captain of the Pennsylvania State Police and director of the Special Investigations Division. He said the charges against Myers clearly illustrated an absolute disregard for the sanctity of the electoral system.
Myers’ case is still being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI.
Democrats and the lamestream media want you to believe there’s no such thing as voter fraud. But clearly, it exists. Thankfully, the Department of Justice is working hard to protect our elections.
