(TargetLiberty.org) – The world is a strange and often frightening place and there’s no limit to the lengths some people will go to take advantage of their fellow human beings. Case in point: a mother and daughter, who owned a funeral home in Colorado, are facing charges for illegally selling body parts.
Police arrested Megan Hess and Shirley Koch on suspicion of selling human remains. They are each charged with six counts of mail fraud and three counts of illegal transportation of hazardous materials.
Hess and Koch have run the Sunset Mesa Funeral Home for more than 10 years. They allegedly sold hundreds of corpses while telling families their loved ones were cremated. Some families took to Twitter to express their feelings on the arrest.
Huge win today. If y’all remember I posted awhile ago about the funeral home that was selling body parts illegally and had sold my grandpa, well her and her mom got arrested today, they’re looking at a ton of serious charges and time 😩🙏🏼

Hess also ran a nonprofit donor services business. Using this business, she would harvest body parts from the corpses in her care and sell them to places that used them for medical and scientific purposes — against the wishes of the families and more importantly, without their consent.
Authorities say the pair made hundreds of thousands of dollars with the grisly scheme. They now face up to 135 years behind bars.
