Conservatives Head to Reagan Library for GOP Speaking Series

(TargetLiberty.org) – What does the future hold for the Republican Party? That’s the big question leading Conservatives will be asking this week in a series of talks at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

On May 27, an array of GOP thinkers will discuss where to go in the run-up to the 2024 election and beyond. The first speaker will be former Wisconsin Representative and House Speaker Paul Ryan. On Thursday, he’ll launch a conversation that will also hear from several likely 2024 presidential candidates – former VP Mike Pence, Trump SoS Mike Pompeo, ex-UN ambassador Nikki Haley and Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Tom Cotton (R-AR).

Many Republicans are worried about how the party should move on from last November’s still controversial election result. The event at Reagan’s library in Simi, CA is an early attempt to decide that before the election cycle gears up again. The question is, does it matter? With former president Donald Trump still attracting mass support from the party grassroots, the decision might already have been made for them.
