(TargetLiberty.org) – A gas station has been fined hundreds of dollars because its fuel supplier doesn’t have a sense of humor. The Wisconsin business was hit with the penalty because a customer put a sticker on one of the pumps.
On April 21, Pam Coy, the owner of the Viking Village gas station in Reedsburg, WI told reporters she’d just been fined $400 by BP after the oil giant found stickers criticizing President Biden on her pumps. The sticker, which is fast becoming a real-world meme, shows a smiling Biden pointing at the price of gas and carries the caption “I did that!” It’s a harmless protest against rocketing gas prices caused by Biden’s failure to control inflation, but it seems BP doesn’t see the funny side.

Coy told Sky News Australia her staff keeps removing the stickers, but customers keep putting on new ones. She said “We can’t have someone out there 24/7,” which seems to be what it would take to deter customers from replacing the stickers.
BP company policy bans petrol stations from putting any stickers on their pumps unless they’re pre-approved by BP, but that’s not what happened here. Coy said if she removes the stickers and sends BP a photo to prove they’re gone, she’ll get her money back — “but I might just leave them up… I don’t care.”
