CNN's John Griffin Arrested for Inappropriate Activity With Children

( – A senior CNN producer has been arrested and charged on serious child sex charges, after claiming he had “sexually trained” girls as young as seven. Investigators have uncovered a horrifying trail of online sexism and abuse.

On December 10, the FBI arrested CNN producer John Griffin on charges of using Google apps like Kik and Hangouts to facility interstate commerce to attempt to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity. The Vermont US Attorney’s Office says Griffin tried to persuade parents to let him train their daughters to be sexually submissive. He also contacted children through the Google apps and asked them to perform sex acts for him. He paid one woman over $3,000 so she could bring her 9-year-old daughter from Nevada to his Boston home, where the girl was abused by Griffin.

Griffin sent messages containing extreme sexist and pedophile views, for example, “a woman is a woman regardless of her age” and women are “the dirtiest sluts possible.” Prosecutors say the producer believes women should be sexually subservient to men and need to be trained from an early age.

Until recently, he worked with Chris Cuomo, who was fired by CNN last month after it turned out he’d helped cover up sexual harassment allegations by his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D).
