Black Lives Matter Flips On Democrats

(TargetLiberty.org) – Black Lives Matter, a left-wing organization, has opposed Vice President Kamala Harris being considered the presumptive Democratic nominee without having a public vote on her becoming the nominee. The group noted that the Democratic National Convention should not just hand the nomination to a candidate and that instead a process should be created which would make it possible for the public to participate in the decision.

On Tuesday, the group issued a statement where it argued that a “24-hour process” during which the party’s leaders are having a discussion is not a democratic process and is not something that the Democrats should be proud of.

Last month, President Biden delivered a disastrous performance during the presidential debate which resulted in a lot of internal pressure for him to drop out of the race. However, while originally, he maintained that he would not pull out of the race, he announced on Sunday that he would be dropping out. Following this announcement, he released another post endorsing Harris as the replacement nominee for the Republican Party.

Overnight, the Democratic Party met up and agreed that she has enough delegate support to become the party’s nominee.

While BLM normally is aligned with the Democrat Party, they have opposed this latest decision arguing that the delegates could not act like oligarchs and install who they wanted as the Democratic nominee without any public voting. The organization also slammed the party for being full of “hypocrites” and demanded that an informal primary be set up across the country to allow the nominee to be selected before August’s DNC Convention.
