(TargetLiberty.org) – A new Reuters/ Ipsos poll has shown that President Biden’s approval rating has dropped below 40 percent. This would make his recent ratings one of the lowest approval ratings of his presidency.

The poll was originally published on Wednesday and it found that 39 percent of respondents approved of Biden’s current performance as President. A similar poll last month had placed Biden’s approval rating at 42 percent, marking a 3 percent decrease within a single month. President Biden has not yet announced his 2024 presidential reelection campaign, but he has repeatedly reiterated that he fully intends on running for the White House again.

Former President Donald Trump on the other hand, who announced his third presidential campaign in November in his Mar-a-Lago estate had also had similar low approval ratings during his presidency, with his approval rating in December 2017 being at 33 percent.

The poll also looked at what respondents believed the biggest problem that the country was facing to be. Reportedly 20 percent said it was the economy, while 10 percent said the environment or crime was the country’s main problems.

Biden is going to have to compete with author Marianne Williamson, who was unsuccessful in her 2020 presidential campaign, and prominent anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the 2024 Democratic nomination.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll included responses from 1,029 people. The poll’s margin of error was 3 percentage points.
