(TargetLiberty.org) – In 2020, President Joe Biden achieved his electoral college victory by placing a lot of his attention on winning Pennsylvania. Biden, who often goes by “Scranton Joe” has opted to spend millions in political ads in the state.

However, despite being the state that allowed him to win the election, there are some Democrats who believe that it could be the state that breaks Biden’s blue wall.

As evidence for this perspective, they point out that a number of recent polls have shown that former President Donald Trump has managed to be in the lead in what is expected to be a very tight race. However it is not the numbers that are most concerning to them, but rather the Democratic base’s erosion.

Earlier this week a New York Times/Siena College/Philadelphia Inquirer poll was released which showed that among young voters in Pennsylvania, his level of support has dropped to 47 percent from 62 percent in 2020. This is not the only demographic that Biden is losing on as his support among Hispanic and Black voters has also gone down to 57 percent from 71 percent.

The same poll has also found that Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.), who is seeking reelection, is outrunning the President in the state by almost 10 points.

This has also resulted in a lot of questions regarding how Biden will perform in other states that he does not have as strong ties. One top strategist pointed out that in the past few years, all the Democrats have performed well in the state and argued that there was no reason to suggest that Biden would not also perform well.
