(TargetLiberty.org) – President Biden’s hot mic moment on the House Floor in an instance that had gone viral online following his State of the Union address.  In the comment, the President had been talking about a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who he referred to by his nickname “Bibi.”

Biden stated that during the talk he had told him that they needed to have a “come to Jesus moment.” In explaining the moment during an interview with MSNBC anchor Jonathan Capehart, Biden had argued that this was an expression that they very often used in southern Delaware and that it was a reference to needing to have a “serious meeting.”

In an interview that was aired on Saturday, he argued that he had known the Israeli Prime Minister for 50 years and that he had known what he was trying to say.

When asked why he had specifically used that phrase, President Biden argued that he thought Netanyahu needed to do a lot more in order to prevent the number of innocent casualties in the Israel-Hamas war. He then pointed out that while Netanyahu had the right to defend the country and fight against Hamas he needed to be doing more to reduce the number of innocent lives that are lost because of the actions he is taking.

Biden added that through his actions, Netanyahu was harming his country rather than helping it. He then pointed out that this was against what Israel stood for.
