(TargetLiberty.org) – The White House counsel’s office has revealed that President Biden was recently interviewed in connection to the investigation being handled by Special Counsel Robert Hur about his alleged mishandling of classified documents.

Ian Sams, the spokesperson of the White House Counsel’s office, revealed to Fox News that the interview had been voluntary and had taken place over the course of two days, Sunday and Monday, which marked the interview’s conclusion.

Attorney General Merrick Garland had appointed Hur to oversee the investigation earlier this year.

Sams pointed out that from the very start, Biden and the White House had been in full cooperation with the investigation and that they have provided public updates regarding the case whenever that was possible. Sams added that being transparent while also ensuring that the investigation is secure has also been one of the key elements they have considered. He added that any further questions regarding the interview would need to be directed to the Department of Justice.

The case the Justice Department is looking into relates to the small number of classified records dating back to Biden’s time as vice president which were discovered in Biden’s home in Delaware and his private office in Washington. In fact, according to the President’s personal attorneys, the first few documents were discovered on Nov. 2, 2022 at the Penn Biden Center.

The documents had reportedly been placed in a locked closet and had been recovered while Biden’s team was preparing to vacate his private office in Washington. Biden had reportedly been using that office from 2017 to 2020.
