(TargetLiberty.org) – President Joe Biden’s first week in office was marked by a great purge. He fired multiple people appointed by former Donald Trump, and in at least two cases, had to involve security officers.
On Thursday, January 21, Biden fired Voice of America (VOA) Director Robert Reilly and Deputy Director Elizabeth Robbins. The news organization, which is funded by the government, has been accused of being a Trump network. The two officials weren’t just terminated, they were also humiliated and escorted out of the building by security. According to reports, both believe their firing was illegal.

Reilly and Robbins weren’t the only officials fired. Michael Pack, the CEO of the US Agency for Global Media, VOA’s parent company, was told to either resign or he would be terminated. He chose to leave on his own. Director of the Office of Cuba Broadcasting Jeffrey Shapiro, another government-funded outlet, resigned as well.
It looks as though Biden’s efforts are just getting underway. Who’s going to be on the chopping block next?
