(TargetLiberty.org) – President Biden has discarded the design choices for Air Force One made by former President Trump in favor of a new design.

On Friday, an Air Force release revealed that Biden had selected the design for a CV-25B aircraft which is set to replace the existing VC-25A aircraft. The new design is going to closely resign the existing design, however, there will be three main differences between the two.

The first one is that the “robin’s egg blue” at the bottom of the plane is going to be replaced by a slightly deeper shade. Similarly, the area surrounding the cockpit is going to also be a darker blue color, while the polished metal section will be completely missing as the skin alloy on modern commercial aircraft will not allow it.

According to the release the existing VC-25A aircraft has limited capabilities and increased maintenance costs, while some of its parts are obsolete. The new VC-25B is going to have upgraded electrical power and more autonomous ground operations capabilities. Equally important is the executive interior, medical facility, and system for self-defense that will exist within it.

Former President Trump had previously selected a design that would have red, blue, and white as colors. However, a review from the Air Force calculated that this design would lead to the aircraft costing more and would require more time to be completed. The updated aircraft has already been delayed and is behind schedule.

Biden’s design is bringing but the Kennedy administration’s design with the blue and white that Trump had pushed aside.
